March 13 2007 Meeting Agenda

7:00 p.m. Lightning talks and announcements
As always, anybody is encouraged to get up and do impromptu announcements and/or talks on tiny little subjects. We enforce a strict five-minute time limit.

7:10 p.m. Pragmatic Community Driven Development in Ruby
Gregory Brown?
A talk about community driven software development and the tools, techniques, and practices necessary to build a successful free software project. The presentation will focus on how to get through the growing pains many Ruby projects inevitably experience, and help you put your project on the path to 1.0.

8:00 p.m. Raffle
We’ll be holding a free raffle for two publications:

1. A copy of Ajax in Action, given to us by the good folks at Manning Publications.
2. One free PeepCode screencast, made possible by Topfunky.

8:10 p.m. Snowvision: A Selenium case-study
Francis Hwang
Selenium is an in-browser testing framework for use with testing client-side logic. I’ll talk about how we use Selenium with our Ajax-heavy snowboarding video website SnowVision.
