ROR VP/DEV, TEAM LEAD OF ROR DEVS, ROR WEB DEVELOPERS, and USER INTERFACE & BRANDING DESIGNERS FOR HEALTH 2.0 INTERNET COMPANY

Please send your resume to http://theresa@healthepeeps.com. Please indicate in your email which job you are applying for. We prefer our VP or Team Lead be full time, but Devs and UI can be full or part time, temporary, but not at consulting rates.

Our NYC based company is a very cutting edge funded Health 2.0 start up. We are lead by world-class internet veterans who were previously VPs and CXO’s at DoubleClick and 24/7 Real Media. We have just raised our first round of capital and have commitments for our next round. We’re looking for our ‘rock star’ internet software development team who can annihilate quality code and get us launched. We need the whole team including Team Leads, software developers, and an awesome UI designer.

Our team: we loath corporate environments that reward mediocre work and cut throat politicians; instead, we’d rather blaze our own trail and work smart and efficiently hoping to be rewarded by yours and the company’s rapid success. Team members are creative, self-starters, self-sufficient, detailed, work-a-holics, and out of the box thinkers who ‘get-it’ when it comes to merging tech goals with business goals. You should be too.

RoR VP/Web Development:

As our VP/Dev, you must be a hands on developer (coding 90% of your time) who will lead the team and contribute full time to software development. You will be responsible for building our product from concept through launch using an agile development methodology. You will learn the business & product, do use case scenarios and wire frames, manage the dev teams, design the architecture, participate in coding the product, etc.

You should have 5-10 years experience in internet development + leading teams. The ideal candidate has experience leading a team through the full life cycle of an internet software agile development project from concept through launch…on time, in budget. And, we’re looking for someone who has grown up in internet and knows all the tools and cool things possible for a website and the marketing of a website.

Also as a VP/Dev, you must be able to stand toe to toe with an investor, biz partner, and client and gain immediate respect. This requires experience and reputation, but also in-depth knowledge and great salesmanship and interpersonal relationship skills.

RoR Team Lead:

Developer Team Lead: Our Team Lead will lead the technology development while also coding 90% of the time. We are open to this person growing into our VP/Dev and/or CTO. You will be responsible for building our product from concept through launch using an agile development methodology. You will learn the business & product, do use case scenarios and wire frames, manage the dev teams, design the architecture, participate in coding the product, etc. Also you may be invited to investor, biz partner, and client meetings to represent the needs of the tech dev team and project.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: You’ve managed a technical development team who has built an internet platform through the full life cycle of an internet software agile development project from concept to launch, and you can generate confidence that you’ll build ours on time, in budget…and you’ll do it for us. You should have 3-5 years experience in internet development + leading teams. Full or part time, temporary, but not at consultant rates.

RoR Internet Software Developers:

Internet Software Developers: 3-5 years experience developing on ROR or other internet software development platforms. Experience developing in an Agile environment. You must be fast and good, easy to work with, and able to understand and contribute to the product.

RoR User Interface & Branding Designer:

User Interface Designer: 2-5 years experience and a hot portfolio of web designs and internet product interface designs. Experience designing on Ruby on Rails platform a plus. Portfolio should include wire frame experience/examples. User scenarios a plus.

Are you a senior developer with Ruby on Rails experience looking for an opportunity to redefine enterprise web applications? Have you ever used an intranet, extranet, or a wiki, and absolutely knew that you could build something better if you had the chance? Or, are you currently a Java or .Net guru doing Rails projects on the side, and looking for an opportunity to switch?

iCrossing, a global digital marketing company, is looking for an experienced senior developer with solid Rails experience to help our VP of Tech disrupt the current crop of corporate web-based applications. You’ll be developing simple, elegant, and innovative solutions for us using your favorite framework: Rails. We’ll be honest, on occasion, you’ll have to edit some legacy PHP code, handle some system maintenance, and participate in exciting daily SCRUM meetings, but it’s all part of being a senior developer.

If you’re the right person, you have a deep interest in the web, development, and enjoy working in a user-focused, team-based environment. Passion is an absolute must; if you’re looking for a standard corporate IT gig, this is not the job for you. You have at least 5 years with web development, with a minimum of one year developing with Ruby and Rails. As a senior developer, you must know how to develop web applications from the ground up – from database schema design to application architecture to css/javascript/xhtml – and have experience managing other developers. Ideally, you also have some experience with agile development, tdd, version control (GIT/SVN), and unix systems. Our team works on Mac, and we hope that you do too.

If you’re looking for a place to call “work” where you can be passionate, challenged, and engaged, you should check us out. The Job application is here: http://bit.ly/3Veuir

Seeking Ruby/Rails web application developer

We seek an ambitious and entrepreneurial Ruby on Rails developer to join our dynamic team. Our CTO has four patents to his name and our Director of Engineering is an MIT graduate with more than twenty years of programming experience.

We are building an innovative business-to-business web application which solves a real problem. The market opportunity is in the billions of dollars and no one company has made significant inroads into this space. We are positioning ourselves to seize it.

We are currently in advanced discussions with Rails guru Obie Fernandez (author of The Rails Way) about having Hashrocket develop our prototype. It is expected to be complete by early March. After that, all future development will be done in house. This is where you come in.
